While rescuing cats, I discovered feral cats and colonies. I noticed that most people did not know anything about them, many rescuers were determined to get them out of the streets without taking into consideration the cats’ needs and their personalities. Through Alley Cat Allies I started learning about Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and the correct way to manage colonies. I founded the project TNR Chile to educate people, NGOs, and authorities and since 5 years ago I have been a TNR advocate promoting respect for feral and community cats. Now we even have a nationwide law that protects cat colonies and requires that they are managed only through trap , neuter , vaccinate and return programs.
