Sadie

I have been a cat lover for decades, and all of my cats have been rescues. One cat in particular was amazing. Sadie was an orange female; it’s more common for orange cats to be male. When we adopted her she could fit in your hands. She was the smartest cat I’ve ever had. She slept with me every night and woke me in the morning when it was time to get ready for the day and feed her. She sat with me when I had lunch (no begging). She reminded me about her dinner. She must have been part Siamese, because she was a talker. She reminded me when it was time for bed. But the thing that amazed me the most was she seemed to know when it was about 8 p.m., the time I would watch TV. She sat on the floor by my chair, jumped in my lap when I sat so I could pet her, and then she would curl up next to me and go to sleep. She was 21 when she died, and I still miss her every day.
