I became acquainted with a young woman living in St. Louis, Missouri, from a mutual friend on Facebook. Her name is Kesaruh Mitkos and she is married with two small children. She has her own struggles and her own animals to care for, but she reaches out to help feral cats in her neighborhood and in other neighborhoods. She is involved with Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), she feeds the cats, gets them medical care, and advocates for them endlessly. She has a very big heart. She also helps dogs in need. I am only able to offer support in the way of buying some food, litter, and toys when I can. I have three rescue cats and I so appreciate everything that she does. She deserves a medal.
