I am fostering a cat through Safehaven Humane Society. She was a juvenile stray that came in pregnant. After two weeks with me, she delivered six adorable kittens. She was absolutely a champion. She took care of all the details herself while I watched, hesitatingly ready to help. Through it all, she was treated for ova and parasites, and giardia. The kittens are 3 weeks old now, active and playful. Mom is beginning to wean them, and I stand by with back-up provisions. The kittens will be neutered and adopted out at the shelter. Mom will be neutered and offered for adoption while I foster (I can’t bear to send her to sit in a cage at the shelter).
