Fat Cat Rescue was born in the back of a garage in North Chicago where cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies have been rehabilitated, loved, nurtured and adopted out. It was born out of the founders’ (the Larsen family) love of all animals and years of dedication to homeless dogs and feral cats throughout northern Illinois. Currently one of the founders (Kaye) works with multiple feral colonies of cats, all trapped, neutered, vetted, and released. She and her family have been pouring time, love, and their money into helping these cats since 2005. Every cat counts.
